The most common Questions

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity and meal prepping. We can only accommodate the people listed on your invitation. Your invitation will be made out to "{Your Name} + Guest" if a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for understanding!

Can my children come?

We truly love your little ones! However, due to the nature of our event and limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate children who are listed by name on the invitation as part of your plus one or immediate family. We appreciate your understanding and support in making this an intimate and special celebration.

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

The wedding ceremony will take place outdoors on The Island Green, with the reception to follow indoors in The Island Maui Ballroom. In the event of rain or inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to The Island Capri Ballroom. Either way, everything will be at the same location for your convenience!

Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you do not have your phones or cameras out during the ceremony and be present in the moment with us. Please have your phones silenced and put away for our unplugged ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will be capturing the ceremony, and we don't want any phones in our photos!

What is the dress code?

Our dress code will be formal. Men in dress pants and button-up shirts. Women in floor length dresses or pants. We explicitly ask not to wear white.

When should I arrive to the venue?

Please arrive AT LEAST 30 minutes early for parking and finding your seats. Guest can start showing up an hour before the ceremony. The wedding ceremony will start promptly at 4:15 pm.

Where should we park?

Complimentary parking is available for all wedding and reception guests at The Island Hotel. Additionally, free public parking can be found at the Okaloosa Island Boardwalk nearby. Please note: overnight parking at the hotel is reserved for registered hotel guests only. Any non-hotel vehicles left on the property overnight may be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.

Is it an open bar?

At this time, each guest will receive two drink passes that can be used at any point during the reception, up until 30 minutes before it ends. We may expand this to an open bar or offer an open bar for a portion of the evening—stay tuned for any updates as we get closer to the big day!

Is it a buffet-style reception?

The reception will feature a plated dinner rather than a buffet. When you RSVP, you’ll have the opportunity to select from two protein options, along with a starch and a side. Dietary accommodations will also be available—we want everyone to enjoy the meal!
